Our Story
Lusk is a husband-and-wife collaboration, bringing together Lauren Lusk’s work as a botanical painter and her fondness for historical textiles with Chester Lusk’s skilled craftsmanship and appreciation for beautiful, natural materials. Both share a passion for design and its importance in engendering a sense of belonging and wellbeing in our interiors.
Through Lusk, Lauren and Chester work together to create distinctive fabrics, wallpapers and decorative accessories for the home, always inspired by nature and balancing traditional influences with a contemporary sensibility. The rambling garden at their home in rural Kent, the beaches of the south coast and ancient woodlands, provide endless inspiration born out of the ever-changing landscape that surrounds them.
The Bloom Collection
Lusk’s debut fabric and wallpaper collection balances nostalgic sophistication and detail, with playful spontaneity and expressive pattern and colour. Designs are spirited, each with its own character and rhythm. Gently trailing stems and repeating floral motifs evoke the charm of French 18th century printed cottons. These are complemented by bold designs with sweeping foliage and generous scale, introducing stylised interpretations of nature. Colours are distinctive, with a rich palette that moves confidently between chalky blues and dusky maroons and embraces the unexpected energy of lively mustard, deep crimson and a spectrum of verdant greens. This interplay of contrasts, gives the designs a slightly eccentric character. Yet, when combined they create a layered and beautifully balanced conversation.
The Bloom Collection is printed in the UK and is available in a range of natural fibres: 100% hemp, linen and cotton. All fabrics print beautifully and are selected for their tactile quality and durability. Complementary wallpapers offer inspiring and versatile design options.
